**Join Our Heart-Caring Team as a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab!**
**Job Description:**
- **Shifts:** Days from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, working 4 days with 10-hour shifts
- **Start Date:** ASAP
- **License Requirements:**
- Current RN license in New Mexico or a Compact state license
- BLS Certification from AHA required
- **Weekend On-Call Requirement:**
- 1-2 weekends per month
- 8-10 days per month
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Obtain and record initial patient assessments
- Reassess patients systematically to track progress and identify needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans within established timeframes
- Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on facts and evaluations
- Participate in health education and discharge planning
- Implement and document timely interventions
- Evaluate care plans and modify as necessary
- Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
**Staff Responsibilities:**
- Utilize effective communication strategies for positive outcomes
- Delegate unit work assignments to ensure efficient patient care
- Coordinate team assignments and adjust based on patient and unit needs
- Use appropriate channels for resolving difficult issues
- Participate in the orientation of new staff/students
- Function as a friendly resource to visitors, physicians, and staff
- Promote a positive work environment and support unit staff
- Collaborate with team members to achieve goals
**Customer Relations:**
- Foster high levels of patient/customer satisfaction and respect
- Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills
- Uphold the hospital’s credibility and positive image
- Support the mission, goals, and continuous service improvement
**Other Responsibilities:**
- Assist with special projects as assigned
- Comply with Human Resources Policies and Procedures
- Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to changes
- Maintain a positive attitude, even under stress
- Take responsibility for professional growth and development
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
**Requirements:**
- **Education:** Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing
- **Skills:**
- Current knowledge and skills aligned with the patient population
- Sensitivity to patients’ rights in care delivery
- Effective communication tailored to the developmental age of patients
