Doctor of Medicine | Oncology - General/Other Location: Minneapolis, MN Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Exciting Opportunity for a Skilled Medical Oncology Physician Join our reputable healthcare team as a Medical Oncology Physician, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients battling cancer. This pivotal role involves leading inpatient care, supervising advanced practice providers, and managing complex oncology cases across multiple esteemed hospitals. Required Skills: Valid Minnesota medical license or IMLC. Board certification in Oncology and Hematology. Experience and comfort in inpatient malignant medical oncology and diverse hematology consults. Ability to perform specialized procedures related to malignant and benign oncology. Strong leadership skills to lead and supervise advanced practice providers. Excellent documentation skills ensuring same-day charting for inpatient and outpatient services. Effective communication and teamwork capabilities. Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience working with privileges at United Hospital, Abbott Northwestern, and Mercy Hospital. Additional certifications in oncology or hematology. Experience with hospital-based outpatient and inpatient oncology clinics. Ability to assist with outpatient coverage, if needed. Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD/DO) from an accredited institution. Minimum of 3 years of post-certification clinical experience in medical oncology. Proven leadership in a hospital-based oncology setting. Other Requirements: Credentialing expected within 90 days. Availability to start on or around July 13, 2026. Must be able to perform duties at the identified hospitals with privileges. Willingness to participate in overnight call from home (8-10 hours, 1 week at a time). Flexible schedule with inpatient and outpatient coverage, no outpatient call required. Deployment of skills in a hospital inpatient service setting with a patient load of 20-25 per day. Support staff available, including one advanced practice provider weekday and another on weekends.
