- Our Med/Surg 8th Floor is looking for dedicated night shift RNs to provide exceptional care!
**Position Highlights:**
- **Specialty:** Medical Surgical
- **Shift:** Night 4x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)
- **Experience Required:**
- Minimum of 1 year in Medical Surgical nursing
- First-time travelers are welcome with a minimum of 3 years experience
- **Patient Ratios:**
- Days: 1:6
- Nights: 1:6
- Weekends: 1:6
- **Patient Diagnoses:**
- Stroke patients and surgical patients
- **Daily Census:** Approximately 30
- **Number of Rooms:** 31
- **Number of Beds:** 39
**Key Skills Required:**
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong skills in the following areas preferred:
- Respiratory Management (BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes)
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy
- Blood product administration
- Gastrointestinal management (colostomy, feeding tube)
- Neurological/Psychiatric care (CVA, spinal cord injury)
- Cardiac monitoring
- Wound care/Wound Vac
- Isolation precautions/PPE
**Work Environment:**
- Interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy
- Telemetry central monitoring tech available 24/7
**Additional Details:**
- Float required as needed
- 1 scheduled pre-approved time off request
- Orientation hours: 24
