Job Description:
The RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing direct patient care to adults with a variety of diagnoses including cardiac, dialysis, cancer, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, and others. The role requires the ability to titrate drips and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Titrate medications such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin.
- Read and interpret telemetry/monitor strips.
- Float as needed to MedSurg or ICU to care for PCU acuity patients.
- Participate in one shift of unit-specific orientation and ongoing skills assessment.
Requirements:
- Active RN license and current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Competent in managing Arterial Lines and familiar with high-flow respiratory equipment.
- Willingness to work every other weekend and at least two holidays during the contract period.
- Ability to adapt, communicate effectively, and work with a team across different cultural populations.
