Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will provide care to patients during labor and delivery and assist with various procedures and responsibilities specific to the unit.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cervical exams and placement of IUPC and FSE
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate during cesarean sections
- Start IVs and draw labs
- Recover patients post-cesarean section, usually with spinal anesthesia
Requirements:
- 2+ years of L&D experience, preferably with completed travel contracts
- Certifications in NRP, ACLS, BLS, and AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring
- Advanced skills in fetal monitoring and anesthesia management
