Job Description:
Registered Nurse in the CVOR unit responsible for providing specialized care to patients undergoing cardiac and complex thoracic and vascular surgeries. The role includes stabilizing and supporting patients using advanced equipment and techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Care for patients recovering from open heart, complex thoracic, and vascular procedures.
- Manage various forms of life-support equipment, including impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO.
- Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics as needed.
- Read and interpret telemetry strips in the absence of tech support.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
- BLS, ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with the patient population.
- Ability to pass skills examination during orientation with a score of 90% or above.
