Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in a Med Surg unit, ensuring patient safety, administering medication, and collaborating with healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and manage patient care in a 55-bed unit.
- Titrate Heparin, Lidocaine, and Ketamine drips as required.
- Participate in unit rounds and implement care plans for patients with a range of conditions including joint replacements and sepsis.
- Engage in hourly rounding and ensure responsiveness to patient needs.
- Provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population.
Requirements:
- Current RN license with eligibility to practice in Nebraska.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Compliance with facility's fingernail policy and passing a skills exam with 90%.
- Minimum 50-mile radius rule applies; driver's license required for verification.
