Job Description:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to psychiatric patients including children/adolescents and adults, focusing on supporting those with diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and adjustment disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and evaluate care plans.
- Perform assessments and minor wound care.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and manage emergency situations.
- Document patient progress and participate in discharge planning.
Requirements:
- Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing.
- BLS and CPI certifications (preferred to have prior to start).
- Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
