Job Description:
This position involves floating between multiple ER satellite locations, with a designated home base planned in advance. Floating locations include Goodyear, Camelback, Mesa, Glendale, and Surprise. Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam and a SIMs lab test on Day 1, focusing on sterile field tasks such as Foley catheter insertion.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care to ER patients as one of only two RNs at satellite locations
- Perform lab draws and manage patient care with a 4:1 patient ratio
- Complete charting using the Cerner system
- Participate in educational sessions for lifts, restraints, and wound care
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license with competency in sterile field maintenance
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Pass a dysrhythmia exam and SIMs lab on orientation
- Ability to work independently and float between locations
