JOB SUMMARY:Are you a compassionate and experienced RN Supervisor looking for part-time work while making a real difference in resident care and unit oversight? RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervise and manage nursing staff on your shift - ensuring care delivery meets facility standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform or oversee resident assessments, monitor health status, and respond to changes in condition; coordinate with physicians and care team as needed.
- Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance - including resident records, care plans, incident reports, regulatory compliance paperwork, and shift handoffs.
- Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges as assigned; coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure smooth transitions of care.
- Provide direct nursing care when necessary (medications, treatments, IVs, specimen collection, etc.), especially during staffing shortages or emergencies.
- Mentor and support assigned staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), provide guidance, and act as point of contact for staff and resident/family issues.
- Ensure unit compliance with facility policies, state/federal regulations, safety and infection-control standards.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Valid, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
- Minimum experience working as an RN in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment; supervisory or charge-nurse experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to assess resident needs, coordinate care, respond to changes in condition, and make sound clinical judgments.
- Dependable, with good attendance and ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team.
