Position Details:
Registered Nurse (RN) or Graduate Nurse (GN)
Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CPCU)
Mercy Hospital South | St. Louis, MO
Schedule: Full-Time | 36 hours/week
Shift: Days and Nights Available
Sign-On Bonus:
- Experienced RNs: Up to $10,000
- Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year): Up to $5,000
β€οΈ About the CPCU
CPCU specializes in caring for complex cardiovascular and thoracic patients, including:
- Postβoperative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias
- STEMI and myocardial infarctions
- Pulmonary issues
- Kidney failure
- Overdoses and medical stepβdown patients
Youβll work closely with surgeons, cardiologists, and the heart clinic to ensure patients transition safely and confidently back home

Qualifications
Education:Β Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:
Licensure:Β Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.
Experience:Β Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.
Certifications:
Preferred Qualifications
Education:Β BSN preferred
Licensure:Β Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
Experience:Β Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
Physical Requirements
Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
