This position is responsible for performing sprinkler inspections and fire alarm inspection. As well as performing, service for suppression systems, fire sprinkler systems and alarm systems.
Job Description Summary This position is responsible for performing sprinkler inspections and fire alarm inspection. As well as performing, service for suppression systems, fire sprinkler systems and alarm systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Ensure that all fire, sprinkler and suppression inspections are completed on a timely basis and that inspections are done accurately and thoroughly.
- Testing of all building sprinkler control panels, devices, and functions of the sprinkler system and entering the test results into the Palm handheld device.
- Upon completion of an inspection download the information and generate a completed Sprinkler Inspection Report.
- Participate in monthly team meetings.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Education/Qualification:- Must have an RME-I License & FAL
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with Fire Sprinklers
- Preferred but not required FEL-K Or FEL-A
- Stay current with code requirements, and industry changes, and obtain NICET certifications
- Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and be customer service oriented.
- Must be able and willing to work within a team environment.
- Sprinkler experience & fire alarm experience is required.
- Proficiency in using test equipment including sensitivity test equipment, multi-meters, battery analyzers, sound level meters, and communicating devices.
- Reliable transportation to and from the office or job site.
- Must be punctual. Being on time is critical due to the need to perform sound tests prior to building tenant arrivals.
Physical Requirements:- Industrial, Commercial, & Residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels, and comfort with working at heights
- Mostly a physically demanding role. Most of the daily demand is standing and walking stairs and climbing ladders.
- May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day.
