Job Description:
The Nurse Manager is responsible for managing the nursing staff in a critical care environment, ensuring quality care for patients with complex conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, AMI, and others. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Clear and Direct Communication: Communicate expectations, priorities, and decisions with clarity and consistency.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain high standards across various operational tasks.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and keep records organized.
- Proficiency in Spreadsheets and Data Management: Use spreadsheet tools for tracking and present data clearly.
- Accountability and Follow-Through: Track commitments to completion and confirm resolution of issues with stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Make informed decisions and escalate issues as appropriate.
Requirements:
- BLS, ACLS, & NIHSS certifications required. BSN & CCRN preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with at least 2 years in management.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills suitable for managing an ICU/CVICU environment.
