RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Orthopedics Tele
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Day shift patient ratio: 1:5 patients
• Night shift patient ratio: 1:6 patients
• Float to like Med Surg Telemetry units (D1, F2) as needed
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds on day shift Monday-Friday from 10:30-11:15 AM
• Work with 48-bed unit averaging 27 patient census
• Must have Med/Surg Telemetry skillset including head-to-toe assessments
• Orthopedic care knowledge required
• IV medication administration including management of Lasix drip, heparin drip, IVP metoprolol diltiazem and insulin IV or subQ
• Wound care including drain management and VACs
• NGT/G tube care and parenteral nutrition
• Central line management for PICC/HD catheter/midlines
• Foley/nephrostomy/suprapubic catheter care
• Ostomy care and postoperative patient care
• Required certifications: RN License, ACLS, BLS
• Use documentation system Altera/Allscripts Sunrise
• Work with equipment including Hoyer lift, automated BP machines, bladder scanner, remote telemetry monitoring, and vein finder
• Dress code: scrubs and closed-toe shoes (no crocs)
