About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Curative to find a qualified Gastroenterology MD in Springfield, Massachusetts, 01104!

Inpatient GI - Flexible Monthly Block Coverage in Massachusetts

Practice Setting

Inpatient coverage at an adult acute care facility.
Handle Floor, Emergency Department (ED), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) consults.
Onsite Lab and X-Ray support available.

Schedule

Block scheduling available: Commit to only 7 shifts (1 week) per month.
24-Hour Call is required during your weekly assignment block.
Call structure is approximately 1:4 with coverage from Friday 4pm to Friday 4pm.
Carry Beeper overnight for emergent needs.

Procedures and Cases

General Gastroenterology procedures are required.
Procedures include Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry and Interpretation.
Perform Small Bowel Biopsy, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, and Lower GI Endoscopy.
Required to perform Liver Biopsy.

Requirements

Must be a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterology Physician.
Active Massachusetts State Medical License is required.
Must hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Credentialing Requirements

Anticipate an approximately 60-day credentialing timeframe.
