Michigan HemOnc - Block Scheduling with Low Call Burden

An immediate locums opening for a Board Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician is available in Michigan for ongoing coverage.

Highlights

Block scheduling offered: work two consecutive weeks per month
Low call burden: call is 1:2 but involves very few actual calls

Practice Setting

Outpatient focus with inpatient component
Facility holds three major accreditations, including American College of Surgeons CoC
Collegial 4-provider group (1 MD, 3 APPs) environment

Schedule

Only 2 weeks per month
Typical shifts are 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday
Coverage includes occasional night and weekend call
Call is Beeper type with a 15-minute response time required

Procedures and Cases

Target patient volume is an average of 10-15 patients per day
New patient consults are booked for 60 minutes; follow-ups are 30 minutes
Scope is Hematology and Oncology coverage; no inductions performed at the facility
Weekly tumor board and onsite genetic counselor are available

Requirements

Must be a Physician (MD/DO) with an active MI license
Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology is required
Fellowship is preferred
Must hold ACLS and BLS certifications

Credentialing Requirements

Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60 days
Must obtain hospital and/or surgery center privileges
