Home Health RN Job Details
- Location: Burlington, NC 27215 and surrounding areas (travel radius up to 75 miles)
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: Approximately 40 (productivity-based; no guaranteed hours)
- Employment Type: Travel RN contract
- Patient Load: 5–8 patients per day (productivity points system)
- Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS standard rate (patient home to patient home)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (license in hand required)
- At least 1 year of recent Adult Home Health or Hospice RN experience
- Current BLS and CPR certifications
- Experience with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) EMR and OASIS (recent use or retraining required)
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Ability to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic
- Timely completion of documentation within 24 hours of patient visits
- Not currently employed directly by the facility (for travel nurse applicants)
- Willing to participate in on-call rotations and flexible patient assignments
Home Health Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes following physician orders and agency policies
- Supervise and evaluate Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses
- Perform Start of Care assessments, wound care, and follow-up visits
- Travel between patient homes and attend office meetings as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities
- Meet weekly productivity goals (approximately 30 points/week)
- Participate in on-call rotations as required
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while adapting to changing schedules and travel requirements
