Travel Nursing Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (January 12, 2026 – April 12, 2026)
- Weekly Hours: 40
- Shift: 8-hour days (6:30am – 5:00pm); 30% of shifts may be 1:00pm – 11:30pm based on department needs
- Call Requirement: 6 weekday and 6 weekend calls per 6-week schedule
- Location: Bridgeport, CT 06606
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active and clear Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Clinical experience in General Surgery, Robotics (DaVinci & Mako Ortho), Urology, ENT, Neuro (cervical fusion, lumbar laminectomy), Plastics (abdominoplasty, breast augmentation), GYN, and Orthopedics (total knee/hip replacements, anterior/posterior approach)
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience with EPIC, Surgicount, and TECSYS preferred
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative nursing care for surgical patients
- Circulate and scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic health records (EPIC)
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend coverage
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Mentor and support less experienced nursing staff
