Telemetry RN Job Details
- Location: South Bend, IN 46601 (Indiana nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Telemetry Unit
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026, End: 4/13/2026)
- Nursing Shift: 3x12 Hour Nights (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Rotational
- Floating: Required within hospital and affiliate hospitals
- Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience preferred (first-time travel nurses accepted)
- Active Registered Nurse license (pending accepted if active by start date)
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; CPI and NIHSS preferred
- Must pass EKG test prior to application review
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
- Ability to float to various hospital units as needed
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient status
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform blood product administration
- Interpret arterial blood gases and provide care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and feeding tubes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy
- Float to boarding areas and affiliate hospitals as needed
- Maintain professional conduct and adhere to hospital policies
- Complete required onboarding modules prior to start (up to 8 hours, self-reported)
