Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide acute, urgent, and emergency care as the primary provider at the sole health center in the area
- Assess and manage emergent cases, coordinating transfers by sea or air to a sister hospital as needed
- Deliver comprehensive care in a facility serving a broad patient population
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
- Collaborate with medical staff for optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to facility protocols and clinical guidelines
Additional Information
- Active Physician Assistant license in New York required
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and DEA certification required
- Acute care, urgent care, or emergency medicine experience preferred
