- Unit: ICU – 7 Valley Pavilion
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026, End: 4/13/2026)
- Patient Ratios: 1:2-3
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Charting System: Epic
- Scrub Colors: Royal blue and white
- Guaranteed Hours: After 2 shift call-offs per 13-week assignment, all contracted hours are guaranteed
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- Active RN license (state or compact) – Registered Nurse jobs in North Carolina
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Must pass EKG exam (no exceptions)
- Experience with Epic charting system
- Travel nursing experience required
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Not accepting local candidates within 50 miles of facility
- Must provide interview availability upon submission
ICU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients
- Manage patient assignments with ratios of 1:2-3 in the ICU
- Perform and assist with advanced ICU procedures: arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, emergency medications
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
- Administer blood products and continuous IV sedation/paralytics
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including pharmacy, phlebotomy, and IV teams
- Float to similar critical care units as needed to support hospital operations
- Participate in orientation and complete required modules prior to start
