ER RN Job Details

- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ER), Level 2 Trauma Center
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/21/2025 – End: 3/22/2026)
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing

Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Room (ER) setting
- Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department (100,000+ visits/year) preferred
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (must be current before start date)
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
- Flexibility to float and work in all areas of the Emergency Department
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced emergency room environment
- Manage patient ratios: typically 4:1 (medical), up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
- Operate advanced medical equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors
- Document patient care using Cerner EMR system
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including techs and unit clerks, to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain patient-centered communication and adhere to AIDET principles
- Participate in required scheduling, including every other weekend shifts
- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed
- Comply with unit-specific policies and wear required navy scrubs
