RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work on 40-bed Progressive Care Unit (E5 CARD) on 5th floor of Owen Heart Center
• Patient ratios: 1:4 with stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Floating to all MedSurg units, Stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding
• Care for patients with CHF, MI, chest pain, arrhythmia, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, post cardiac cath/stent, and post pacer/ICD/ablation
• Work with equipment including Zoll, Baxter pump, lift equipment, bladder scanner
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Must have stepdown or progressive care experience and telemetry experience
• Required experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drip, heparin, bumex/Lasix
• Preferred experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) and relief charge experience
• Perform bedside cardioversion procedures
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Dress code: all white or all navy blue scrubs, or white top with navy blue pants
• Must demonstrate flexibility, positive attitude, team collaboration, and compassion
