Job Details:
• Work night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Option for 4x12 hour shifts available
• Float to like units as needed
• Possible charge nurse duties as needed
• Must work at least 1 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• 30-minute lunch required with no skipped meals policy
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Skills include IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac management
• Blood product administration, colostomy care, feeding tube management
• Heparin and insulin administration, PCA management
• PICC line and peripheral line care, surgical drain management
• Required certifications: Alabama nursing license, BLS via AHA, fit test
• NIH stroke scale certification preferred
• Level II trauma experience and travel experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Must adhere to call-in policy and complete required modules during orientation

This healthcare facility operates a 30-bed medical surgical unit providing comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility offers interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy support, and unit secretaries.
