Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work every other weekend schedule
• Maintain 1:6 patient ratios on days, nights, and weekends
• Float to Medical/Surgery units as needed
• Required to work in MS/Tele, Tele, and PCU/Stepdown settings
• Provide strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Start IVs and manage Heparin protocols
• Manage cardiac drips without titration
• Demonstrate skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Utilize Rapid Response/Code teams effectively
• Administer blood products safely
• Provide central line care and management
• Manage peripheral line care
• Provide oxygen administration and nasal cannula care
• Handle non-invasive airway management
• Maintain isolation precautions protocols
• Monitor telemetry and work in PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown units
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Alabama nursing license required
• Experience with any charting system required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
