Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Louisville, KY 40202
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (January 5, 2026 – April 6, 2026)
- Shift: 6:30am – 7:00pm (12-hour day shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed
- Weekend Rotation: Saturday rotation every 6 weeks
- Call Requirements: Minimum 40 hours per 6 weeks
- Unit: 31 Operating Rooms, 1:1 patient ratio
- EMR: Cerner
- Scrubs: Provided by facility
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1740 - $1860
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Kentucky RN license (required for Kentucky nursing jobs)
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Previous travel nurse experience preferred
- Strong adaptability, willingness to learn, and a positive, can-do attitude
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing complex surgical procedures (neuro, orthopedic, thoracic, vascular, transplant, ENT/radical neck)
- Utilize advanced surgical technology including Mako Robot, DaVinci SP & XI Robots, O-Arm, and Rosa Robot
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio in the operating room for individualized care
- Participate in Saturday weekend rotation and fulfill on-call requirements
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced, academic medical center
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work across multiple surgical service lines
