RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit on the 3rd floor of main campus
• Patient ratio of 4-5 patients per nurse
• Required certifications: BLS & ACLS
• PCU experience required - candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Must have knowledge of cardiac rhythms and surgical patients
• Must be experienced with chest tube management and epidurals
• Work with equipment including cardiac telemetry, chest tubes, and cardiac drips (NTG, Cardizem, Amiodarone)
• Care for post cardiac catheterization patients, post-surgical patients including open heart, lung patients, general surgery patients, and post-op orthopedic patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Perform typical procedures including post cardiac cath care, EP studies, device placements, groin management, chest tubes, critical drips, epidurals, and PCA management
• Float to ICU taking PCU type patients, PCU, and Med-surg units (taking 5 patients)
• Dress code requires navy or white scrubs (can mix or match)
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts
• Day shift staffing includes 3-4 RN, 2 PCT, 1 Clinical Coordinator
• Night shift staffing includes 3-4 RN, 1 PCT
