Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (required for Michigan nursing jobs)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit or acute care RN experience
- BLS certification (required for PCU nurse jobs)
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- Must reside at least 60 miles from Marquette, MI to qualify as a travel nurse
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Support specialty care areas including cardiac, oncology, neurology, and post-surgical recovery
- Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with hospital policies
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
