Med Surg / Tele RN – 12-Hour Nights | Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH System)

Position Overview

BILH is seeking an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry RN to support winter surge needs. This is a high-acuity environment requiring strong telemetry skills and the ability to float to similar units when needed.

A pass/fail dysrhythmia (ECG/Tele) exam and a medication exam are required before onboarding, administered via Zoom. Candidates must test within 48 hours of offer.

Shift & Scheduling

12-hour nights
Weekends & holidays required
Hard end date: February 28
Orientation every two weeks
Floating: To like units & overflow areas

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years Med Surg/Telemetry experience
Must be able to pass Telemetry Competency Exam
Local candidates accepted
No separation needed from previous BILH employment to apply
Must demonstrate professional development activities
Charge experience preferred

Certifications Required

BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)

Additional Requirements

Flu vaccine required (medical/religious documentation accepted)
All RTO must be provided at time of submission
Nurse Manager interviews & offers — availability must be provided at submission
No on-call required
Contract guarantee: 72 hours biweekly (excludes call time)

Unit Expectations

Provide high-quality care for Med Surg/Tele patients
Perform cardiac monitoring, tele interpretation, and dysrhythmia recognition
Float seamlessly to similar units as needed
Maintain strong teamwork and communication in a fast-paced environment
