ER RN Job Details

- End Date: March 16, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – required for all ER nursing jobs
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, MOAB, and TNCC certifications
- Strong adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills
- Excellent assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to quality patient care
- Solid understanding of medical terminology and clinical protocols
- Experience with EKG interpretation preferred
ER RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with cardiac, trauma, stroke, and psychiatric conditions
- Assist with trauma care, stroke interventions, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma, U/S IV and IO insertions, eye exams, EKGs, and cardiopulmonary care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including RNs, ED Techs, and department coordinators
- Operate emergency medical equipment such as Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis
- Document patient care accurately using Sunrise/Allscripts EMR
- Follow department protocols and policies for patient assessment and emergency care
- Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1, with flexibility during acute surges
- Demonstrate creative problem-solving and a genuine commitment to patient well-being
