MRI Technologist Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
- Active ARRT credentials for Diagnostic Imaging
- Valid New York State MRI Tech license
- Enhanced NYS license for injection
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety policies and procedures
- Ability to follow patient identification and labeling protocols
Healthcare Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive MRI exams, including documentation of patient history, technical details, contrast administration, and IV injection information
- Scan and upload paperwork packs into Epic EMR system
- Ensure strict adherence to MRI safety policies for staff and patients
- Consistently follow patient identification policy, including accurate labeling of syringes with date, time, contrast, and initials
- Comply with ISTAT usage policies as required by site protocols
- Demonstrate expertise in MR department procedures, setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality, evaluating images, and following physician instructions precisely
