Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Location: Montour Falls, NY 14865 (Upstate New York nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Medical Surgical Unit
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 17, 2025 – June 16, 2025)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950 - $2,090 per week
- Employment Type: Travel RN, W2
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Ability to serve as charge nurse as needed
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Act as charge nurse when required, providing leadership and support
- Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
