- End Date: January 19, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: 12 Hour Days (6:45AM - 7:15PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit Size: 101 beds
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 (medical), up to 7:1 (ED behavioral holds)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1530 - $1640 per week
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent ER RN experience in an Emergency Room setting
- Preferred: 2 years of nursing experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
- Commitment to positive patient experience and respectful behavior
- Ability to work every other weekend; must meet department scheduling needs
- Dress code: Navy scrubs
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume ED
- Assess, triage, and monitor patients using Baxter pumps and GE monitors
- Document patient care in Cerner EMR system
- Collaborate with techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed
- Maintain accurate patient boards and provide ongoing communication to patients and families
- Uphold AIDET principles and ensure a respectful, positive experience for every patient
- Participate in department initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence and teamwork
