Med/Surg RN Job Details

- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Contract Length: 13 weeks

- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Jersey RN license preferred)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification – required before first shift
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification – required before first shift
- Minimum 2 years of recent bedside clinical nursing experience
- At least 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience highly preferred
- Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
- Participate in patient rehabilitation, discharge planning, and clinical support activities
- Communicate changes in patient status promptly to the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and continuity of care
- Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff
- Promote patient and staff safety by following hospital policies and clinical protocols
- Foster a positive, efficient, and professional work environment through teamwork and ongoing professional development
