Travel Nursing Job Details
- Job Title: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract
- Location: Rosedale, Maryland (21237) – Baltimore area
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: December 9, 2025
- End Date: March 10, 2026
- Shift: 3 x 12-hour day shifts per week (06:30 - 19:00)
- Total Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
- Float Requirement: Med/Surg Telemetry & Neuro Units
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1590 - $1710
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Neuro Telemetry or Med/Surg Tele units
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Proficient in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, feeding tube care, blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, PCA, CVA and pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury care
- Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
- Two supervisor references required
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
- First-time travel nurses with strong neuro experience are encouraged to apply
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in Med/Surg Telemetry and Neuro units
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms
- Respond to rapid response and code situations
- Manage feeding tubes, central and peripheral lines, and administer blood products
- Care for patients with CVA, TIA, seizures, AMS, behavioral health co-morbidities, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries
- Support pre- and post-neurosurgery patients
- Float between Med/Surg Tele and Neuro units as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
- Participate in a team-based model of care, working alongside PCTs, LPNs, virtual nurses, and support staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using electronic health record systems
