Healthcare Job Details
- Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 (Virginia healthcare jobs)
- Unit: Diabetic Renal Medical-Surgical (DRMU) – LAC Resource Team
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel RN contract (12/15/2025 – 3/14/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule: 2-3 weekends per month; assignments end on Saturdays
- Orientation: Every other Monday
- Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
- On-Site Position
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1800
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical RN experience required
- Prior travel nurse experience required
- Active Virginia or Compact RN license (must be valid upon start)
- BLS certification required
- Complete work history with explanations for gaps over 90 days
- Skills Checklist and copy of Nursys/license required
- Teaching hospital or charge nurse experience preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with students and new hires
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Diabetic Renal Medical-Surgical unit
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Mentor and support students and new hires in a teaching hospital setting
- Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and accurately document care
- Work 12-hour night shifts, including 2-3 weekends per month
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Deliver compassionate care and foster a positive patient experience
