Med/Surg RN Job Details

- Unit: 3 East – Cardiac/Neuro (20-34 beds)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 2/2/2026)
- Patient Ratio: Typically 1:6
- Dress Code: Personal scrubs (any color)
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend & holiday coverage required
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1950 - $2090
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 4 years of recent Med/Surg, Cardiac, and Neuro nursing experience
- High proficiency in cardiac and neuro patient care (skills checklist required)
- Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS (must be current at profile upload)
- Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course required
- Tele nursing experience required
- Experience with Meditech Expanse strongly preferred
- Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed
- Traveler must have own vehicle
- COVID-19 vaccination (dose date on or after 10/3/23) or approved exemption (mask required)
- Permanent address must be included in application; candidates within 50 miles of facility are ineligible
- All requested time off must be included at submission (maximum 5 days)
- Supervisory signed reference from the past two years required
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac and neuro patients in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other units as required for clinical support
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and Massachusetts state nursing regulations
- Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
- Provide compassionate support and education to patients and families
