Full-Time Neonatologist Opportunity in Topeka, Kansas

Pediatrix Medical Group is currently seeking a dedicated Neonatologist to join a five-physician practice at a prominent healthcare facility in Topeka, Kansas. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a Level-III, 36-bed NICU in a state known for its affordable cost of living and rich community culture. Job Responsibilities:

Full-time BC/BE Neonatologist position available.
Work a combination of 8 and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule, with approximately 170 hours of in-house coverage per month.
Provide in-house call and backup call from home.
Join a team of five physicians to deliver a full range of services in a 36-bed NICU.
Perform services including high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, total body cooling, and aEEG.
Manage an average daily census of 26 patients with an average length of stay of 19 days.
Handle approximately 500 admissions annually.
Access to pediatric subspecialty support in Cardiology, Neurology, General Surgery, and Endocrinology.
Maintain Joint Commission Disease Specific Certification in the Care of Premature Babies since 2012.
Open to new Fellow graduates who are already board-certified in Pediatrics.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Pediatrics.
Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain).
Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start).
Clean malpractice and license history (highly preferred).
DEA must be obtained prior to start.
Open to J1 and H1B visa candidates.

License and Certification Requirements:

Board Certified in Pediatrics (Required).
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (Required).
Kansas medical license (Required).
Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (Required).
DEA (must be obtained prior to start).
