Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (any trauma level)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Washington State preferred
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS, TNCC
- Strong IV skills; experience with chest tubes and central lines
- Competency in ventilator and BiPAP management (training provided)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Telemetry competency (must be completed and passed prior to start)
- Willingness to float to other off-campus ED sites as needed
- First-time travel nurses welcome!
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages: neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Assess, triage, and manage walk-in traumas, cardiac, neuro, GI, respiratory, psychiatric, and other emergency cases
- Provide care to intubated patients; manage ventilators and BiPAP
- Mix and administer medications with pharmacy support (video conference)
- Perform advanced procedures including chest tubes and central lines
- Collaborate with LPNs, charge nurses, and healthcare team members
- Float to other off-campus EDs as needed; adapt to changing assignments
- Participate in orientation, respiratory class, and ongoing training
- Utilize EPIC for charting and Alaris/Pyxis for medication management
