- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680-$1800
- Openings: 3 Med/Surg RN positions available
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state)
- BLS Certification (required before first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required before first shift)
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Med/Surg setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Initiate discharge planning and provide patient education from admission
- Communicate patient status changes to physicians and charge nurses for optimal continuity of care
- Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees as needed
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by following hospital safety protocols
- Participate in team-building activities and foster a positive healthcare work environment
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as required
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing nursing education
