Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Michigan, requiring a MI RN license, BLS, NRP, and proficiency in labor, postpartum, and special care.

Responsibilities

Hospital-based Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Special Care setting
Night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week
Must work every other weekend
Cerner EMR experience required
Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
No blocked scheduling permitted
Responsible for leadership in the coordination and delivery of compassionate patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Must complete onsite online modules and receive a passing score prior to start, typically one week before assignment begins
Must complete compliance requirements and drug screening within prescribed timeframes to avoid a delayed start date
Request for time off must be submitted in advance; any additional requests after offer are subject to management approval

Requirements

Active MI RN license required
BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required
Minimum of 3 years of L&D experience required
At least 1 year of Cerner EMR experience required
COVID vaccination is mandatory
