Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical need Labor & Delivery position in California requiring a current CA RN license and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12 hours per shift
36 hours per week on a 13-week assignment
Care for both standard and high-risk obstetric patients
Utilizes EPIC EMR system
Responsibilities include providing care to laboring mothers and newborns with an emphasis on high-risk pregnancies
Must adhere to dress code and hospital policies
Travelers may not exceed two cumulative years of assignment at this health system without a 90-day break per policy
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
EPIC charting experience is preferred

Requirements

Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Minimum one year of recent (within last 3 years) full-time Labor & Delivery RN experience
Current BLS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
Last four digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
High-risk Labor & Delivery experience within the last two years preferred
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred
Five or more years of recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred
