Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details
- Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania 18103 (Lehigh Valley)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 24, 2025
- End Date: February 23, 2026
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1930-$2070
- Setting: Float Pool Medical/Surgical (MS/Tele), with potential to float to PCU and rehab units
- Patient Ratio: 1:5-7
- Charting System: EPIC
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license (must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Proficient in interpreting telemetry and managing diverse Med/Surg and Telemetry patients
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Willingness to float to PCU and rehab units as needed
- Preferred: Previous charge nurse, SICU, trauma, LTAC, or community hospital experience
RN Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity Med/Surg Tele environment
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code situations
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide wound care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
- Float between units as required, adapting to various patient populations and unit needs
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
