Psychiatric Registered Nurse - 12-Hour Night Shift
Location

Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
12-hour night shifts from 1900 to 0730. Must work 3 out of the 6 major holidays and every other weekend.
Job Description
The Psychiatric Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive patient care in a low-violence facility that serves a large indigent population. The role involves working in acute psychiatric and detox units with a focus on mental health and addiction treatment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct admissions and patient assessments.
- Administer medications and lead educational groups.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, psychiatrists, and social workers.
- Utilize strong communication skills to support patients effectively.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar psychiatric setting.
- Current certifications in BLS and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) required; CPI certification can be obtained onsite.
- IV experience is essential for some units.
