The shift for this position is the night shift from 18:45 to 07:15, working 4 shifts per week.
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses in the Medical Surgical specialty. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Med/Surg nursing, with a focus on oncology. Nurses will handle a general medical-surgical diagnosis patient population, including oncology patients receiving chemotherapy and those with complications such as AKI and sepsis.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols.
- Monitor patients for signs of complications, particularly in oncology and general medical-surgical conditions.
- Utilize IV therapy, blood product administration, and line management techniques.
- Provide wound care and manage complex medical equipment as needed.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience is required.
- Current BLS certification is necessary.
- ONC certification is preferred but not mandatory; support to obtain this certification is available.
- Experience with chemotherapy administration is a plus.
