Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details
- Location: Hyannis, MA 02601 (Cape Cod – Massachusetts nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Float Pool (may float between Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/14/2026)
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30), every other weekend & rotating holidays
- Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing – Registered Nurse contract
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,210 - $2,370
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care hospital
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Telemetry nursing experience required
- Must pass CCHC Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia Exams prior to start date
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Preferred: Experience with cardiac, post-surgical, oncology, dialysis, orthopedic, or neuro patients
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses in a telemetry unit
- Document assessments, care plans, and communicate pertinent data to the healthcare team
- Serve as a clinical resource for patient care, orientation, and staff education
- Demonstrate proficiency in nursing informatics and electronic medical records
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Comply with hospital policies regarding safety and infection control
- Maintain patient confidentiality and represent the hospital positively within the Cape Cod community
- Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing supervisor
