Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Stepdown Telemetry position in a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a WA or Compact RN license and neuro experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Neuro Stepdown unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital
- Night shifts are scheduled from 19:00 to 07:00, working three 12-hour shifts per week
- Care for neuro patients with an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
- Every other weekend shifts are required
- Floating between units and to sister facilities within the state is expected
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses the Epic EMR system; prior Epic experience required
- Provide specialized nursing care to stepdown neuro patients utilizing telemetry monitoring
- Work within a multidisciplinary team in a teaching hospital environment
- Expected to complete required modules pre-start and on an annual basis
- Minimal to no requested time off (RTO) is approved; all RTO must be requested up front
- Travelers may be required to wear scrubs of any color
- No cost for staff parking
Requirements
- Active WA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years recent neuro stepdown/telemetry experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering one year of recent employment in a comparable specialty/setting
- Applicants must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rate
- Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months before applying as a traveler
- All required certifications and documentation must be submitted for consideration
