ICU RN Job Details
- Location: Spokane, WA (Zip: 99204) – Washington nursing jobs
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/17/2025 – End: 2/14/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (every other weekend rotation; clustered shifts when possible)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880–$2020
- Setting: Level 3 Trauma Center, 18-bed mixed ICU
- Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Washington State preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, medication titration, proning, hypothermia protocol, chest tubes, drains, and invasive line monitoring (a-lines, CVP)
- Experience with EPIC charting, BD Alaris IV Pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing preferred
- Previous travel nurse or travel healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Professional appearance; any color scrubs permitted
ICU RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to ICU patients, focusing on medical cases (DKA, ARDS, sepsis, COVID, multisystem failure)
- Care for surgical and neuro ICU patients as needed (open abdomen, thoracotomies, CVA, craniotomy, EVDs, ICP monitoring)
- Manage patient ratios of 1:2-3 based on acuity
- Float to respiratory, surgical, telemetry, PCU, or ED units as needed for clinical support
- Utilize advanced monitoring and documentation systems (EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
