Job Description
The Level 2 RN on the Med Surg nights unit is responsible for patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. The focus is on managing patients' needs throughout their hospitalization and ensuring high-quality, compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological health.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses.
- Document all patient assessments, interventions, medications, treatments, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on managing conditions and preparing for discharge.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to hospital protocols for infection control and safety measures.
- Recognize and respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as necessary.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience required.
- Current RN license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification required.
