Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details
- Location: Akron, Ohio (44307) – Northeast Ohio healthcare jobs
- Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Start Date: November 14, 2025
- End Date: February 13, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (07:00 - 19:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880 - $2020
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or Compact State RN license
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (active, not pending)
- At least one supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in Med/Surg Telemetry
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Must complete BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
- Completion of required pre-start and annual modules as assigned
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to changes in patient condition with appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and healthcare standards
